We, as humans, take pleasure in sculpting our personal environments to our liking. However, as soon as we're no longer around, nature would make short work of reclaiming what we've convinced ourselves is ours.

Boats like the Titanic don't simply "sink" on their maiden voyage.
In April of 1912, the biggest ship ever was ready to set sail. At the same time, there were arrangements being made in the USA to start the Federal Reserve, a private company which would be tasked with the duty of handling most of America's financial matters, including printing money. A lot of powerful folks thought this was great, because if they could get there hands on something like this, their power would grown immeasurably. However, there were a lot of HONEST powerful folks who saw major problems in this, and believed it was far too much power for one company to have, and would take power away from the intended rulers of America: the American people.
There are several strange circumstances surrounding the sinking of the Titanic, including a very large, very convenient insurance policy taken out on the Titanic, which is a whole other story on its own. The biggest mystery surrounding the sinking of the Titanic is how and why nearly all significant opposition toward the formation of the Federal Reserve bank happened to be on board the ship, and died when it went down.
